Action Alert

The NY Times published an editorial today urging House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to bring a vote to the House to hold Karl Rove in contempt of Congress for failing to appear on a legally-binding subpoena. Rove was subpoenaed to testify under oath regarding the firings of nine US attorneys, which appear to have been done for political reasons. Former Bush chief of staff Josh Bolten and White House counsel Harriet Miers have already been held in contempt.

Don't let the Bush administration run out the clock on this very important matter without contacting your congressional representatives about holding a vote on Rove before recessing for the campaign season. Time's definitely short.
