Who's the Reformer?

TPM found this CNN ditty.

Sarah Palin likes to tell voters around the country about how she "put the government checkbook online" in Alaska. On Thursday, Palin suggested she would take that same proposal to Washington.

"We're going to do a few new things also," she said at a rally in Cedar Rapids. "For instance, as Alaska's governor, I put the government's checkbook online so that people can see where their money's going. We'll bring that kind of transparency, that responsibility, and accountability back. We're going to bring that back to D.C."

There's just one problem with proposing to put the federal checkbook online - somebody's already done it. His name is Barack Obama.

I ask again: Who's the Reformer?

In an update, a campaign spokesperson insisted that Palin was referring not to that specific proposal, but rather to "that kind of transparency in general."

Oh, thaaaaat kind of transparency. Sorta like her commitment to the truth.

Facts are important, like the one that Barack Obama may have supported this (one of few things found he actually has an opinion) but was not part of the original authors. In fact it was started 2 years before he was in office. But like the media picking out the facts they want us to see we choose to see only those that fit our needs. This most often comes from a overwhelming need for change, and we do need change, but can we afford to support somebody whose platform should be "I think I Can, I think I can" when there is NO factual proof he could actually do it? Not to mention that his running mate (whom I thought would be a better choice for the No. 1 spot) Openly states that Hillary is/was a better choice for VP. Even in his ranks there is doubt, there can be no doubt if we are to recover...Give him a full term or two in the Senate to actually do something, have an opinion (not just ideas without plans) or at least use the time to prove he is not just a great talker. It's not his time, we made the wrong choice Barack Obama isn't who the media wants us to believe he is.
